Mrs. Eleanor Bisbee

January 3, 1937 - July 6, 2020

On July 6th, 2020, Eleanor (Kenyon) (Cameron) Bisbee, of Vero Beach, FL, went to be with God, her Father, in heaven. Born in Pitcher, NY on January 3, 1937, Eleanor lived a long and colorful life. She lived and worked as a farmer’s wife for 17 years, then worked at various places in Central New York, including Tompkins Cortland Community College for almost two decades. She raised six children and for many years was a single mother, working 2 and sometimes even 3 jobs. She was an outspoken, strong woman who loved trivia, reading, and a healthy debate. She retired to Florida 20 years ago and loved the beach and the sun. She is greatly missed by her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, G. Earl Kenyon and Norma B. Kenyon and her brother, Jerry Kenyon. Eleanor is survived by her brother Ward (Patricia) Kenyon of Castlewood, VA, her children, Larry (Alice) Cameron of Fort Pierce, FL, Bruce (Judy) Cameron of Ithaca, NY, Shawn (Bob) Reese of Leesburg, VA, Dolene Cameron of Freeville, NY, Sarah (Benjamin) Snedeker of Chandler, AZ, and Holly (Glen) Hinckley of Cortland, NY, as well as 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was grateful for the lifelong friendships she held with her cousin, Doris McQueenie, and her best friend, Pat (Hall) Chapman as well as Pat’s daughter, Kelly Pape. The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland, NY Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.riccardifuneral home.com
