Mrs. Carol Jean Bacon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carol Jean Bacon, 86, of N. Syracuse and formerly Cortland, passed away on June 28, 2022 with her family at her side. Born November 24, 1935 in Syracuse, Carol was the daughter of Francis and Hazel Sexton Thornton. Carol was employed for many years as a seamstress and waitress, she also was the Co-Owner with her late husband, of Bacon & Eggs Diner in Cortland. She also loved gardening and sewing. She is survived by two sons; Doug (Bonnie) Schwenn and Richard (Missy) Schwenn; three daughters; Patty (Doty) Willis, Mary (Michael) Kriever and Lynn (Dean) Johnson; siblings; Michael, David, Robert, Elizabeth and Shelly, 25 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Bacon in 2000 and 5 children; Ken Schwenn, Cindi Keelhar, Pam Davis, Nancy Mack and Susan Schwenn and siblings; Patricia, Kathleen, Francis, Barbara, Judith, John, Joan and Gerald. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:30 am in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St., Cortland, N.Y. with Rev. Joseph Zareski officiating.
